Continuously repricing products in e-commerce or brick-and-mortar stores is a humongous task, but done correctly it can have a considerable impact on business profit. Dynamic pricing algorithms use machine learning but this use of predictive analytics is more involved than simply 'price prediction'. The presentation will discuss key elements of developing an optimal dynamic pricing algorithm and elucidate surprising algorithmic connections to other disconnected fields which seem far from optimal pricing, such as board games and traffic management.
