End-to-end testing is a critical component of a comprehensive test suite for real production software. At the same time, true end-to-end tests require browser-based frameworks, which are notoriously flaky, slow, and expensive to run.Investing in E2E tests can supercharge the stability of your whole product. Fast and modular tests can be run at scale, so you can maintain a high degree of confidence in your releases even as your team grows. When tests are stable, they can be run automatically to prevent bugs before deployment (or even against each commit before merge!). In this talk, we will cover a range of technical investments that allow your team to run browser-based Selenium tests quickly and reliably. We'll go over frameworks that make Selenium tests easy to write and debug, and tools that let you run hundreds of simultaneous tests cheaply when making a commit. We'll also talk about how to break up your JavaScript code cleanly so that your organization can scale.
