Essential to the lean startup process is effective customer discovery. However, many entrepreneurs do not learn to identify the right customers and to conduct effective interviews. This session is taken from the cross-campus entrepreneurship certificate class at UCSD where Dr. York serves as a lecturer and recently conducted at the University of Tsukuba and Mission Bay Capital, this session aims to address these critical skills. Dr. York will lead an interactive session focusing on the following areas: customer targeting, personas, interview strategy development, conducting an effective interview, and identifying good and bad questions (and techniques).
