City of San Diego
Economic Development Director
Award-winning and experienced public sector leader with demonstrated success building high performing teams, leading strategic change and developing innovative programs. Two decades of successful relationships with diverse stakeholders in economic development, non-profit, real estate, industry and business, government and academia to further economic prosperity and drive equitable solutions.

Joined the City of San Diego three+ years ago and in that short time, successfully launched an online business portal through OpenCounter providing proactive customer service citywide for businesses and residents, revised the industry incentive policy to focus on economic inclusivity and growing middle wage jobs, and negotiated several business retention and expansion investments into San Diego, and updated/modernized two dozen policies and procedures. I specialize in finding solutions to complex challenges and putting the right people in the right place.

A San Diego native, I earned my Master’s Degree in City Planning, certificate in Community and Economic Development, and Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University. I am passionate about serving my community and currently serve as a member of the San Diego Women’s Foundation, Board Member for CALED, and Board member for the San Diego Workforce Partnership.
